"1/7/2015 - Thank you God for another day of life!"
Well, doing good this week, if only the temperature wasn't 29 degrees outside.  Feeling like a champ today! Only a few weeks left before officially being put on the list. Yikes! May you all have a blessed week!
We have a lot of friends & family who would like to know how Monte is doing, so we created this page to keep you posted on his progress from week to week.  Thank you again for all the prayers & support we have received from everyone!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
Updates on Monte's Progress
"1/11/2015 - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!"

Well, tough couple of days, breathing getting to me a little. Got thru another weekend. Thank you to Channel 6 news who took the time to come out & speak to me, definitely feeling blessed. Thank you to all who have purchased shirts & donated thru the Go Fund Me acct. May God Bless you for your thoughts & generosity.
"1/19/2015 - Listed"

Finally, time never prepares you for the feeling when then say, "you're officially on the list, be ready for the call". It's a feeling of sadness, joy, & fear. Feels Good! Thank you God! Thank you for all your prayers, keep them going, they're working!
"1/29/2015 - MIRACLE REPORT"

God once again has proved his faithfulness, he has tested our faith, & answered our long waited prayers. OUR GOD IS A MIRACLE WORKER!  On January 29th around 12:35am, we received the call that they had a donor heart for Monte. Around 6:50am, he was in surgery & by 9:55am, his new heart was in.  Words cannot express how our family felt! Praise God!!!!!
"1/30/15 - Recovery Report"

Well, today is the 1st day of recovery, I am happy to report that Monte is doing very well. The surgeon was very pleased with how the procedure went. Monte is still in ICU but is progressing very well. Still hard to believe that this is really happening, but we waited paitiently & God delivered in his time. Thank you for all your prayers & special words you have shared with us. Now is the start of a long road to a full recovery but we know that God will carry him through.  Today I was thinking how long we have waited for this moment & this verse came to me. If there is something you have been praying to God for, just remember sometimes the wait is hard, but in the end, God will provide according to his will.  God Bless you all!

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."    Isaiah 40:31
2/9/15 - "THE GIFT OF LIFE"
Today was my 1st check up. Got to see the women who was able to get me to this procedure, Dr.Shelley Hall today (an amazing lady). I know that God has done this miracle for me, but I also believe that he puts the right people in your path to make things happen & I am grateful for Dr. Hall & the amazing Transplant Team at Baylor Medical. I have so much to be happy for: just that I can breathe now, my family & friends who are my support, a new HEART!, & so much more that it would take forever to mention.  I would not wish what I have gone thru on anyone before my transplant but If the world could experience what I have physically, emotionally, & spiritually gone thru, then the world would appreciate how precious life & family is. I  believe that this journey has helped me cherish the small things in life &  I am going to take care of what God has bless me with. My life truly belongs to him!
3/22/15
How fast time flies, this week will be almost 2 months since I had my heart transplant. Since my surgery, I've had to undergo several weekly tests & physical therapy.  I am feeling good & happy to finally be on the recovering side.  Being in Dallas & being away from my family during this time has been difficult,  but I know it will all be worth it.  I am looking forward to playing with my kids again & getting back home. So far all my biopsy's, labs, & other small tests have come back with good reports. Doctors say I am looking good. I have 1 more biopsy left  & I am praying that all goes well so that my doctor will release me to go home. Thank you for your continued prayers & support. Hope to see everyone soon!

WOW, 9 months! Sometimes it's hard to believe & at times I forget that I even had a transplant. I think back to how my health was this time last year, & it is only by the grace of God that I made it thru.  Today was my 9 month follow up & heart biopsy. Definitely not something I look forward to, but as I tell everyone, it beats the alternative so I do it with a smile.  Doctors tell me that everything looks good & that I am doing very well. To this day I have had no complications. I guess my heart is liking it's new home!  I look forward to my future & all the plans God has for me. I pray that with this experience, I will be able to share my testimony with others that they may be blessed as well:)
11/14/15
Well, tomorrow I will be traveling to OKC to minister & share my testimony. This is something that has been in my heart to do for a while now. I want to be able to share what God has done in my life & hopefully give hope to others that they too will believe in the power that God has to change lives. Myself & the T.D.A. praise & worship team will be leaving early tomorrow morning, please keep us in your prayers. God bless!
